QuestionAnswer
inference An explanation about what is being observed.
observation Using one or more of your senses to examine something carefully.
qualitative An observation that does NOT contain numbers.
quantitative An observation that does contain numbers.
graduated cylinder An instrument used to measure volume.
triple beam balance An instrument used to measure mass.
classification Grouping items according to similar characteristics.
mass Measuring the amount of matter in an object.
weight The measurement of the force of gravity on an object.
temperature Measuring how hot or cold something is.
length Measuring the distance from one point to another.
