Science test stack

For the test

TermDefinition
Asexual Reproduction Reproduction that includes 1 parent, it's also an exact same clone of the parent
Sexual Reproduction Reproduction that includes 2 parents, traits are a unique mix of both of the parents.
Binary Fission Single cell organisms divide themselves in 2 to make a baby.
Budding On offspring grows off of the parent, it doesn't divide itself, like yeast, hydras, and cacti.
Fragmentation Starfish or worms will break off a part of their body to reproduce itself.
Internal Fertilization Humans will have sperm injected into an egg and the baby will grow inside of one of the parent. Usually safe but slower.
External Fertilization Salmon/Fish will lay thousand of eggs for males to ejaculate sperm onto them. Usually faster but unsafe.
Angiosperms Angiosperms are flowering plants that will have fruits and reproduce sexually.
Anther Part of the male structure which is the flower that produces sperm/pollen for the flower.
Filament Holds the anther up/stem.
Stament Anther and filament combined into 1 structure.
Stigma Where the pollen sticks to.
Style The stalk that supports the stigma.
Ovary Where all of the fertilization occurs, seeds are made from the fertilization which turn into fruit.
Pistle All of the female parts in 1.
Pollination Humming birds, bees or bats are attracted to nectar which the pollen that is stuck to the pollinators will rub off onto the stigma.
