Electrical Circuits

TermDefinition
Ohm's law I=v/r
voltage A force that pushes the current through the circuits
Resistance A friction that impedes the flow of current through the current
Current The actual "substance" that is flowing through the wires of the circuit ( electrons)
Series Circuit A one way path of electricity flow that when 1 light goes out the others do the same
Parallel Circuit A flow of electricity with many paths that when one light goes off the others stay on
Measuring Current Electric current measured in Amps (A) using an ammeter
Measuring Voltage Voltage measured in volts (V) on a voltmeter
