Electrical Currents

TermDefinition
Voltage A force that pushes the current
Resistance Friction that impedes flow of current
Current The actual "substance" that is flowing through the wires of the circuit
Series Circuit All in a row 1 path for electricity 1 light goes out and circuit is broken
Parallel Circuit Many paths for electricity 1 light can go out and circuit still working
Measuring Current The electrical current, measured in Amps (A) using a ammeter connected in series in the circuit
Measuring Voltage The "electrical push" which the cell gives the currents, called voltage, measured in volts (V) on a voltameter
Ohms Law I=V\R
