Electrical Currents
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Voltage | A force that pushes the current |
| Resistance | Friction that impedes flow of current |
| Current | The actual "substance" that is flowing through the wires of the circuit |
| Series Circuit | All in a row 1 path for electricity 1 light goes out and circuit is broken |
| Parallel Circuit | Many paths for electricity 1 light can go out and circuit still working |
| Measuring Current | The electrical current, measured in Amps (A) using a ammeter connected in series in the circuit |
| Measuring Voltage | The "electrical push" which the cell gives the currents, called voltage, measured in volts (V) on a voltameter |
| Ohms Law | I=V\R |
| I | Current (Amperes) ( Amps) |
| V | Voltage (Volts) |
| R | Resistance (Ohms) |
