| Tundra | A vast,treeless arctic region of Europe, Asia,and North America in which the subsoil is permanently frozen. |
| Grasslands | A large open area of country covered with grass, especially one used for grazing. |
| Prairie | A large open area of grassland, especially in the Mississippi River valley. |
| Marine | Of, found in, or produced by the sea. |
| Freshwater | Of or found in fresh water; not of the sea. |
