Animal Life

TermDefinition
Organism An organism is anything that's alive.
Habitat This is an area of land that an animal lives in.
Biotic Factor The living things in an ecosystem.
Abiotic Factor The nonliving things in an ecosystem.
Species A group of organisms that are capable of breeding.
Population The population is the amount of organisms there are.
Community A group of organisms living in a close place.
Ecosystem A biological community of interacting organisms and their physical surroundings.
Birth Rate The rate of which a species of animal is born at.
Death Rate The rate at which a species of animal dies at.
Immigration This is when a species moves to another location.
Emigration This is when a small group immigrates to another location permanently.
Population Density The amount of organisms there are in a specific location.
Limiting Factor The limiting factor is the limit of growth.
Carrying Capacity The capacity at which an organism can carry.
