what is an act? the main division of a play
what type of play is R+J? A tragic comedy

where is a chorus spoken in R+J? in the beginning of the first prologue
who uses prose in the play? the common people, servants, pot pan
where is aside used in the play? when Friar is talking to Paris about the marriage of juliet and paris and paris asks why they should slow it down and friar pretends he doesn't have an answer when he does know why.
Where is dramatic irony used? When juliet is still alive and we know, but romeo still kills himself.
Where is situational irony used? when Romeo goes to the party to see Rosaline, but you don't ever see her. instead he falls for Juliet
Where is tragic flaw used on the play? Romeo not taking his time, he acts to fast on things. Shown when he kills tybalt, and when he kills himself.
what are scenes the smaller divisions of the act in a play
where is a soliloquy used? When Friar Lawrence is talking about all the potions and plants just to himself
Where is the monologue used in the play? when the Prince gives is speeches about the fight and also at the end when he says the families need to stop their conflict, theres large amounts of people listening
where is a couplet used? at the end of the chorus's speech when they come out on stage
Who is a tragic hero? Romeo, because he comes from a well off family but through his decisions he gets banished, and eventually kills himself over his love
what is a Tragedy in the play? When Romeo and Juliet take their lives for each other.
Where is verbal irony used? When juliet is speaking to her parents about not marrying, and when shes at the friars cell talking to paris about her love for him.
Where is a sonnet? In the two prologues
where is a catharsis? in the scene when juliets family is morning and it switches to a scene of Pot pan being funny and goofy. or when the families end their feud and build statues.
What type of meter is R+J written in? Iambic pentometer
Verse is used by? all the characters that are not common people. ex. (romeo. juliet, capulet, nurse)
what happened at the morning brawl? the montagues bit there thumb at capulet kingsman and started a brawl. it was broken up by the king who said the next fight will end with him taking the life of the one who starts it
in the garden scene what happens? romeo and juliet express their love for eachother
fight with tybalt ends in? mercutio and tyblat both dead
capulet tomb? Romeo and Juliet take their lives. and romeo kills paris
where is romeo during most of the hard times? manchua
when the friar tried to deliver the letter to him about the plan with juliet why couldn't friar john get it there? city guards didnt want the spread of the plague
why does romeo get banished? for killing tybalt
what happens at the capulet party? romeo and juliet meet and fall inlove
romeo and juliets marriage? happens at the friars cell in hopes to end the families feuds and fighting
what is friars plan to get juliet out of her marriage with paris? to give her a potion that makes her appear dead, so she can go to the capulet tomb and then romeo will be there when she wakes up.
when the plan fails what does the friar do? the friar planned on taking juliet out of the tomb and to his cell until he could get word to romeo and they could ecscape together.

who is mercutio? a friend of romeos, that doesn't belong to either family.
who is the apothecary? the man who gives romeo the potion, that he uses to kill himself. he lives in manchua.
