renewable resources materials or energy source that can be replaced during the human life span

fossil fuels fuels such as natural gas, charcoal, peat, coal, and petroleum(oil) that releases energy when burned.
passive solar system the sun's energy is collected through large south-facing windows, absorbed by tiles and bricks, and released when the air above the absorbing materials is cooler than the material.
conservation the wise and careful use of a resource so that it may be available for future generations.
preservation setting a resource aside so that it will not be used by this or future generations.
