Cnidarians A radial symmetrical invertabrate that uses stinging cells to capture food and defend itself.
Arthropod An invertabrate that has an external skeleton, segmented body, and jointed appendages.
Mollusk An invertabrate with a soft, unsegemented body; most are protected by a hard outer shell.
exoskeleton External skeleton: a tough waterproof outer covering that protects, supports, and helps prevent evaporation of water from the body of many invertabrates.
Echinoderm A radially symmetrical marine invertabrate that has and internal skeleton and a system of fluid-filled tubes.
Endoskeleton An internal skeleton; structural support system within the body of an animal.
Chordate An animal that has a notochord, a nerver cord, and throat pouches at some point in its life.
Vertebrae The bones that make up the backbone of an blood out to the lungs or body.
endotherm An animal whose body temperature is regulated by the internal heat the animal produces.
ectotherm An animal whose body temperature is determined by the temperature of its envirnment.
notochord A flexibile rod that supports a chrdates back just below the nerve chord.
