On an x-ray of chest what are your landmarks to get you organized? Bones, Chest wall, Heart, Hila, costal angles, aorta and arch, esophagus.
Once you have "mapped" the x-ray, what are the next steps? Visualize the distance from costal angle to costal angle, width of of largest portion of the heart.
If you have a pneumothorax, what would classify such on film?
If you have a hemothorax, what would classify that on film?
If you are given a bleb rupture on vignette, what kind of lung problem would evolve? Pneumothorax (ck it)
Who would get a bleb rupture? Long,tall, thin males, females of child bearing estrogen effect, NB on ventilator for more than 7 days (preemies)
What is a tension pneumothorax
A stab to the right of the sternum would damage what structures? list all structures from sternum to last rib.
A stab to the left of the sternum would damage what structures? list all structures from sternum to last rib.
