Homeostasis When an animal has stable internal body conditions.
Adaptation Structures and behaviors that allow an animal to perform its function.
Vertebrate An animal with a backbone.
Invertebrate An animal without a backbone.
Tissue A group of similar cells that perform a specific function.
Organ A body part made up of different tissues.
Radial Symmetry An animal that, if many imaginary lines were drawn through a central point, it would be two mirror images.
Bilateral Symmetry If only one line can be drawn down a central point to make two mirror images.
