The Solar System

TermDefinition
Revolve The Earth orbit around the sun. This takes 365 days, 1 year, or 12 months.
Rotate The Earth spin on its axis. This takes 24 hrs. Causes day and night
Axis The Earth's tilt. This causes the seasons.
Orbit The path an object moves in.
Inner Planets Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars. Rocky planets
Outer Planets Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Gaseous planets
Sun The center of the solar system and the largest object.
