Atmosphere

TermDefinition
Atmosphere Is a mixture of gases that surrounds earth.
Air pressure Is the measure of the force with with air molecules push on a surface.
Attitude Distance from sea level.
Troposphere The lowest layer of the atmosphere which lies next to the earth’s surface.
Stratosphere The atmospheric layer above the troposphere
Mesosphere Is the middle layer of the atmosphere
Thermosphere The uppermost atmosphere layer
Radiation Is the transfer of energy as electromagnetic waves.
Convection Is the transfer of thermal energy by the circulation or the movement of a liquid or gas.
Green house effect Is the process by which gases in the atmosphere such as water vapor and carbon dioxide absorb thermal energy and radiate it back to earth
Global warming Such an increase in average global temperatures is this
Ozone layer Protects earth from harmful utrulviolent radiation.
Conduction Is the transfer of thermal energy through martial.
