What does revolution mean? to orbit or to move around an object
How long does it take for the Earth to rotate on its axis? 24 hours or 1 day
What causes day and night? the rotation of the Earth on its axis
How long does it take the Earth to revolve around the sun? 365 days or 1 year
Why does the Sun appear to move across the sky during the day? because the Earth rotates on its axis
What causes a year? the revolution of the Earth around the Sun.
What does the Moon revolve around? the Earth
What does the Earth revolve around? the Sun
How long does it take the Moon to revolve around the Earth? 29.5 days or 1 month
Why do stars appear to move across the sky at night? because the Earth rotates on its axis
