| decomposer | type of bacteria or fungus that breaks down dead organisms and waters |
| shredder | organisms that eats the tissue of other organisms organic matter and wood |
| dichotomous | is constructed using contrasting characteristics to divide the organisms in the key into smaller and smaller groups |
| pest | any organism that spreads disease, destroys property, competes with people for resources such as food, or is just a nuisance |
| integrated pest management(IMP) | Important pest management tool that uses a mix of methods such as traps, disease-resistant and natural pest-killing substance, as well as the introducing of predators to control pest |
| ecosystem | group of living organisms that interact with one another and the non living physical environments as one unit |
