の NOT at the end of a sentence shows possession. Kore wa watashi ___ pen desu.
follows a noun (direct object) & is before a verb. It marks the thing that receives the action. Watashi wa piano ____ hikimasu.
means and/with. Natalie ___ Nathan wa Nihon ni iku.
identifies the subject(s). Watashi ____ seito desu.
means by (ex: by car) Kuruma ___ ikimasu.
marks destination, or direction in which one is moving (use with go/come/meet/become/time such as days of week, month, etc)
means eh? right? Yakisoba to tempura setto desu ____?
means eh? right? (more casual) Sore wa ii _____!
か at the end of a sentence means it's a question (when using polite forms) Ashita ikimasu ____?
also, too. Watashi _____ ikimasu.
marks a subject when you want to emphasize WHO is doing something. Sensei _____ shimasu.
わ at the end of a sentence women use this, it means "I'm telling you!" Watashi mo ikitai ____!
よ at the end of a sentence women & men both use this, it means "I'm telling you! Watashi mo iku ____!
の at the end of a sentence means it is a question. Ashita gakkou ni kuru ___?
means at/in a place (such as at home, at school, in Japan) Nihon ____ nani suru no?
follows a な adjective when joining it with another adjective . Kanojo wa henn ____, omoshiroi da.
means "but" at the end of a phrase (Nihon ni ikitai desu ___, okane ga nai.)
Marks the 2nd topic of the sentence. (Watashi wa Nihongo ___ hanasemasu.)
is always used with the "can do" (potential) form of verbs, Baskettobo-ru ____ dekimasu.
is always used with imasu/iru and arimasu/aru (to be/exist). Inu ____ iru.
