Weathering, Erosion, & Deposition Vocabulary Words
| Term | Definition |

| Sediments | Bits of rock, soil, sand, shells, and the remains of organisms |
| Agent | A cause of change (Ex: water, wind, ice, & waves) |
| Deposition | Dropping off or leaving sediment in a new location |
| Erosion | The carrying away of the Earth's surface by water, wind, or ice |
| Weathering | Breaking down rock into soil, sand, and other tiny pieces |
| Landform | A physical feature on Earth's surface (Ex: mountain, valley, delta, & plateau) |
| Delta | A landform that is created from deposition of sediment carried by a river to a larger body of water |
| Glacier | A large mass of ice that moves slowly; forms U-shaped valley |
