TermDefinition
Insulator Material that slows down or stops electric current or thermal (heat) energy from passing through
Battery A device that makes electricity by using chemical reactions, stores energy until it is needed
Circuit Path followed by an electric current
Closed Circuit A complete electrical circuit or path through which electricity or current can pass or flow
Electromagnetism Magnetism produced by an electric current
Current Flow of electricity in a wire or other conductor
Flow to move along in a smooth, steady, continuous path or stream
Copper Wire Thin, flexible thread made of copper
Open Circuit A circuit or electrical path that is broken or incomplete so electricity cannot flow through it
Conductor Material that allows electric current or thermal (heat) energy to pass through easily
