| Freezing | The process through which a substance changes from a liquid to a solid. |
| Kinetic Theory | A fundamental theory of matter that explains physical properties in terms of the motion of atoms and molecules. |
| Melting | Is a physical process that results in the phase transition of a substance from a solid to a liquid. |
| Plasma | I a hot ionized gas consisting of approximately equal numbers of positively charged ions and negatively charged electrons. |
| sublimation | The process of a substance change from a solid to a gas without ever passing through a liquid phase. |
| temperature | This is a measurement of the "hotness" or "coldness" of a substance. |
| vaporization | A phase transition of an element or compound from the liquid phase to vapor. |
| viscosity | Another type of bulk property defined as a liquid's resistance to flow. |
| amorphous solid | A solid that lacks definition in shape, pattern and long- range order. |
| boiling | The temperature at which the vapor pressure of a liquid is equal to the pressure of the atmosphere. |
| Condensation | The process by which water vapor in the air is changed into liquid water. |
| Diffusion | A substance spreading out evenly to fill containers or environment. |
