Science IPC Jan 2018

Freezing The process through which a substance changes from a liquid to a solid.
Kinetic Theory A fundamental theory of matter that explains physical properties in terms of the motion of atoms and molecules.
Melting Is a physical process that results in the phase transition of a substance from a solid to a liquid.
Plasma I a hot ionized gas consisting of approximately equal numbers of positively charged ions and negatively charged electrons.
sublimation The process of a substance change from a solid to a gas without ever passing through a liquid phase.
temperature This is a measurement of the "hotness" or "coldness" of a substance.
vaporization A phase transition of an element or compound from the liquid phase to vapor.
viscosity Another type of bulk property defined as a liquid's resistance to flow.
amorphous solid A solid that lacks definition in shape, pattern and long- range order.
boiling The temperature at which the vapor pressure of a liquid is equal to the pressure of the atmosphere.
Condensation The process by which water vapor in the air is changed into liquid water.
Diffusion A substance spreading out evenly to fill containers or environment.
