| Elastic rebound | Sudden return of a deformed rock back to undeformed shape |
| Body waves | Seismic waces that move through the inside of Earth |

| Surface waves | Seismic waves that move on Earth's surface |

| Tsunami | A wave that is formed when the ocean floor shifts suddenly during an earthquake |
