Vocabulary for Weather and Climate

Climate is a description of the average weather conditions in a region over a long period of time
Weather It is a way to describe the outdoors at a given time and place.
humidity The amount of water vapor in the air is called humidity.
precipitation . When the water droplets in the clouds become heavy, they fall to the ground as rain, snow, sleet, or hail.
meteorologists Record and study weather patterns to predict weather
evaporation The liquid water turns into a gas called water vapor. The water vapor is now in the air.
atmosphere The blanket of air that surrounds the Earth
water cycle movement of water between the earth and sky
