BACTERIA

bacteria Unicellular prokaryotes were the genetic material in their cells is not contained in a nucleus.
cytoplasm Contains a gel like fluid that moves structures throughout the cell.
ribosome A tiny structures that produce proteins.
flagellum Long whip like structure that helps cells move.
cellular respiration Breaking down of food to release energy.
binary fission Reproducing asexually. One cell divides to form 2 identical cells.
conjugation Bacteria reproduces sexually. Transfers some of it's genetic material into another bacterium.
endospore Small rounded thick walled resting cells that forms inside a bacteria cell.
pasteurization The food is heated to a high enough temperature to kill most harmful bacteria.
decomposers Organisms that break down complex chemicals in dead organisms into small simple chemicals.
