Bacteria

Bacteria Single celled organism that lack a nucleus
Cytoplasm Thick fluid of a cell located inside the membrane
Ribosome Small grain shaped organelle that produces proteins
Flagellum Long whip like thing that allows the bacteria to travel through liquid
Cellular Respiration Process that releases energy breaking down food molecules in the presence of oxygen.
Binary fission Form of asexual reproduction in which a cell divides forming to identical cells.
Conjugation Form of sexual reproduction in which a unicellular organism transfers some of its genetic material to another
Endospore In unfavorable conditions a thick wall encloses on the DNA and and some of the cytoplasm
Pasteurization A process of heating food to a temperature that is high enough to kill most harmful bacteria and keep the taste of the food.
Decomposer An organism that gets energy from breaking down waste and dead organisms, and returns raw materials to the soil an water.
