What are the three types of blood vessels? arteries, capillaries, and veins
What carries food, blood, and removes cells' waste? plasma
What do arteries carry? Oxygen
What do blood vessels transport? blood
What does blood include? plasma, red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets
What does mucus do? traps dust, germs, and other things
What does the circulatory system include? blood, blood vessels, and the heart
What does the left side of the heart do? pumps oxygenated blood to the arteries
What does the respiratory system do? Gets oxygen to the lungs
What does the right side of the heart do? pumps blood into the lungs
What does the urinary system do? helps rid your body of wastes that are in your blood
What do platelets do? form clots to stop bleeding
What is blood? a liquid tissue
What is plasma? A straw colored liquid
What is the circulatory system? the body's transportation system
What is the epiglottis? it covers the trachea when food is swallowed
What is the tube that carries food to the stomach? Esophagus
What makes up the majority of blood? Plasma
What mixes with water and salt in the large intestines? food waste
What part of the body helps keep blood flowing in the right direction? valve
What part of the heart pumps first? atrium
What system picks up oxygen and carries it to the cells? circulatory
What takes blood back to the heart? veins
Where does oxygen enter the blood and carbon dioxide leave the blood? air sacs
Where is digestion finished? small intestines
Where is the stomach located? under your lower left ribs
