Digestion 1

QuestionAnswer
Pancreas organ that produces enzymes used in digestion. It is attached to the small intestine
Villi tiny fingerlike things in the small intestine where food is absorbed into the blood
Amylase enzyme that changes starch into sugar
Catalyst another word for enzyme. chemicals that speed up chemical reactions
Bile aid in the digestion of fat. It is made in the liver
Enzyme organic catalyst. chemicals that speed up chemical reactions.
Gall Bladder stores bile, attached to small intestine
Small intestine digestion is completed here and nutrients are absorbed
Large Intestine water and vitamins are removed no digestion happens here
Stomach food is mixed with acid and enzymes (mechanical and chemical digestion happens here)
