orbit the pathway Earth follows s it revolves around the sun.
revolution the movement of one object around another. The Earth spins around the sun.
ellipse is like circle stretched out in opposite directions
axis an imaginary line that goes through its center from the North pole to the South pole.
rotation the spinning of Earth round its axis.
eclipse when one object in space gets between the Sun and another object, and casts its shadow on the other object
solar eclipse when the moon passes between sun and Earth and cast a shadow on Earth
lunar eclipse when the moon psses above or below Earth's shadow
constellations a group of stars that form designs or patterns
