names of organelles and their function

| nucleus | all of the cells active the boss cell big and round |
| cell wall | protect plant cells and gives the strength stiff outer layers of plant cells |
| cell membrane | Protects the cells and allows food in and out of the cell thin ("skin") on the outside of the cell |
| chloroplasts | captures energy from the sun makes food green organs |
| mitochondria | cells energy is produced here looks like a little shoe |
| golgi bodies | takes materials from the E.R packages it and it it out to the cell weird folded structure |
| endoplasmic reticulum | like carys materials around the cells looks like folded noodles |
| lysosomes | break down food and worn out cells small round |
| ribosomes | factories that make protein tiny round dots that sometimes attach to the E.R |
| vacuoles | stores water and some other materials large bubble |
| cytoplasm | hold the organelles jell like tells or mucus hair gel, slime |
