| Term | Definition |

| Cell Membrane | A thin "skin on the of a cell. Protects the cell and allows water and food in and out of the cell. |
| Cell Wall | A stiff outer layer of plant cells. Protects the plant and gives it strength. Only in Plants. |
| Chloroplasts | A green organelle. Captures energy from the sun and makes it food. Only in Plants. |
| Cytoplasm | A gel-like;jello, slime inside a cell. Holds the organelles. |
| Endoplasmic Reticulum | Looks like folded noodles. Carries material around the cell. |
| Golgi Body | A weird folded structure. Takes material from the Endoplasmic Reticulum, packages it and sends it out the cell. |
| Lysosomes | A small and round organelle. Breaks down food and warn out cells. |
| Mitochondria | A rod-shaped and looks like little shoes organelle. The cell's energy is produced here. |
| Nucleus | A round big organelle. Directs all of the cell's activities. |
| Ribosomes | A tiny round dot that sometimes attach to the Endoplasmic Reticulum. Factories that produce protein. |
| Vacuoles | A space in the cytoplasm of a cell. They store stuff. |
