Crest The highest point of a wave
Trough The lowest point of a wave
Fixed Point A certain point
Amplitude Distance from rest to crest
Wavelength Distance from crest to crest
Frequency The number of waves that pass a fixed point
Medium The thing that a wave travels through
Reflection When a wave bounces off of something
Absorption When a wave gets taken in by something
Transmission When a wave goes through a medium
Mechanical Wave A wave that needs a medium to travel through
Electromagnetic Wave. A wave that doesn't need a medium to travel through
