TermDefinition
Heredity The passing of genetic traits from parent to offspring.
Metabolism The sum of all chemical processes that occur in a organism.
cell The smallest unit that perform all life processes.
Producer A organism that can make its own food by using energy from its surroundings.
Consumer An organism that eats other organisms.
Decomposer An organsism thats gets energy by breaking down the remains of dead organism.
Stimulus A thing or event that evokes a specific
Asexual reproduction reproduction that does not involve the union of the sex cells and which one part produces offspring that are geneticlly.
Sexual reproduction reproduction in which the sex cells from two parents unite to produce off spring that share traits.
Scavenger an animal that feeds on carrion, dead plant material, or refuse. a person who searches for and collects discarded items.
Homeostasis Maintenance of a constant internal state.
Response A verbal or written answer.
