Metabolism The total of the chemical activities that the organism preforms
Asexual reproduction A single parent produces offspring that are identical to the parent.
Producer An organism that can make its own food by using energy from its surroundings.
Consumer An organism that eats other organisms or organic matter.
Decomposer An organism that gets energy by breaking down the remains of dead organisms or animal wastes and consuming or absorbing the nutrients.
Scavenger An animal that feeds on carrion
Stimulus Anything that causes a reaction or change in an organism or any part of an organism.
Sexual reproduction Two parents produce offspring that will share characteristics.
Homeostasis The maintenance of a internal environment.
Cell A membrane covered structure that contains all the materials necessary for life.
Response A reaction to something.
Heredity The passing of traits from one generation to the next.
