| Unicellular organism | Organism that contains only 1 cell. |
| Multicellular organism | Organism that contains many cells. |
| Prokaryote | Organism whose DNA is floating in the cytoplasm; only unicellular; contain very few organelles. |
| Eukaryote | Organism whose DNA is inside a nucleus; can be unicellular or multicellular; more complex organisms; may have specialized cells. |
| Homeostasis | Ability to maintain a stable, constant internal condition |
| Grow | Get bigger |
| Develop | Change into a more complex organism |
| Asexual Reproduction | One parent; produces offspring identical to parent |
| Sexual Reproduction | Two parents; uses sperm and egg; produces offspring that is a mix of both parents |
