| Assault | Intentional causing of an apprehension or harmful or offensive contact. |
| Battery | Intentional infliction of a harmful or offensive contact upon a person. |
| Chattel | Personal property. |
| Conversion | Substantial interference with another's property to the extent that justice demands payment for the full value of the property. |
| Deadly Force | Force likely to cause death or serious bodily injury. |
| False Imprisonment | Intentional confinement of another. |
| Intentional Tort | Tort in which he tortfeasor intends to bring about a particular consequence or knows with substantial certainty that a result will occur. |
| Private Necessity | Privilege that justifies the defendant's harming of the plaintiff's property in order to protect his own interests or those of a few private citizens. |
| Public Necessity | Privilege that justifies the defendant's harming of the plaintiff's property in an effort to prevent great harm to the public as a whole or to a substantial number of persons. |
| Transferred-intent Doctrine | Intent with respect to one person (or tort) is transferred to another person (or tort). |
| Trespass to Chattels | Intentional interference with another's use or possession of chattels. |
| Trespass to Land | Intentionally entering or wrongfully remaining on another's land. |
| Necessity | Privilege that justifies the defendant's harming of the plaintiff's property in an effort to prevent great harm to the defendant or others. |
