mixtures Two or more substances that are not chemically combined with each other and can be separated by physical
Elements Simplest form of a pure substance they cannot be broken down into anything else
homogeneous Is a mixture that is uniformly mixed throughout the mixture
Heterogeneous Is a mixture where the different elements in it are not uniform
compounds pure substances that are the unions of two or more elements they can not be broken down by physical means
colloid the particles are mixed together but not dissolved
solution A solution is a type of homogeneous mixture formed when one substance dissolves in another.
