Complete Metamorphosis A change in the body, form, or structure of a living thing during its life cycle with four stages: 1) egg, 2) larvae, 3) pupa, 4) adult.
Incomplete Metamorphosis A change in the body, form, or structure of a living thing during its life cycle: 1) egg, 2) nymph, 3) adult.
Metamorphosis A change in an organism's body form during its life cycle.
Ecosystem A community of living and nonliving things in their natural environment.
Food Web A connection of food chains with many food energy paths in an ecosystem.
Carnivore An animal that gets energy by eating only other animals.
Herbivore An animal that gets energy by eating only plants.
Prey An animal that is hunted as food.
Consumer An organism that gets energy from eating other organisms.
Predator An organism that hunts and feeds on other animals.
Producer An organism that uses sunlight to make its own food.
Omnivore Animals that get energy by eating both plants and other animals.
Life Cycle The stages in an organism's life from birth to death.
