| Erosion | The process by which water,ice,wind,or Gravity moves weathered particles of rock and soil |
| Sediment | Small , solid pieces of material that comes from rocks |
| Deposition | Process by which sediment is laid down |
| Gravity | The attractive force between objects, the force that moves objects down hill |
| Mass movement | Anyone of several processes by which moves sediment downhill |
| Glacier | Any large mass of ice that moves slowly over land |
| Ice age | Time in Earth's history which glaciers covered large parts of the surface |
| Till | The sediments deposited directly by a glacier |
| Continental glacier | Continuous masses of ice that are much larger than alpine glaciers. |
| Valley glacier | usually originating in a cirque at a valley head or in a plateau ice cap and flowing downward between the walls of a valley. |
| Plucking | take hold of (something) and quickly remove it from its place; pick. |
| Moraine | Any glacially formed accumulation of unconsolidated glacial debris (soil and rock) that occurs in currently glaciated |
| Kettle | a container or device in which water is boiled, having a lid, spout, and handle; a teakettle |
