| prey | any animal that is hunted by others for food is called prey. |

| Decompose | they are organisms that get their energy by breaking wastes and dead organisms. |
| herbivores | they only eat plants. |
| carnivores | only eat other animals. |
| omnivores | eat both plants and animals. |
| scavengers | carnivores that feed on dead animals. |
| food chains | is a series of steps by witch energy moves from one type of living thing to another. |
| food webs | is a diagram that combines many food chains into one picture. |
| competition | more than one organism fighting for something it needs to live. |
| symbiosis | a long term relationship between two different organisms. |
| parasite | an organism that lives on or out side of another organism. |
| habitat | provides all the things an organism needs to live |
