5th grade STAAR review.

Two wires carrying electricity can create a spark if they come too close to each other. Wires carrying electricity are usually covered with plastic to keep them from starting a fire. Why does plastic keep the electricity from starting a fire? Plastic is a good insulator.

A bottle of salad dressing has the ingredients: oil, vinegar, and spices. The directions say to shake well before using. Why would you want to shake the dressing before using it? Oil and vinegar have different densities.
