QuestionAnswer
Lipid One of the five chemical building blocks of cells; stores energy and makes up the cell membrane.
Phospholipid A special type of lipid that forms much of the cell membrane.
ATP One of the five chemical building blocks of cells; the major energy-carrying molecules in the cell.
Nucleic Acid One of the five chemical building blocks of cells; carries the genetic information of an organism.
Nucleotides The molecules that make up nucleic acids.
Photosynthesis The process by which plants make their own food from carbon dioxide, water, and light energy.
Glucose The sugar produced during photosynthesis.
Chlorophyll The green pigment in plants that absorbs light energy.
Cellular Respiration The process by which cells use oxygen to release energy from food.
