What is niche? Organism have different roles (niche), organisms can have more than one niche
What is a producer? Producers make food energy for themselves and others
What is a consumer? consumers are things that eat other organisms
what are the 4 types of consumers? 1.herbivore 2. carnivore 3.omnivore
What is a food chain? a model that shows energy is stored
What is Energy Flow? a movement of energy (start with the sun moving through many organisms)
What is a food web? a model that shows the food chain
What is a pyramid of numbers? another way of showing the food chain
What is the primary consumer? Herbivores (deer)
What is a secondary consumer? Predators (weasel)
What is a territory consumer? Predators (bear, cougar)
What is a scavenger? something that eats dead things (vulture, hyena)
what is a decomposer? something that grows on dead things (mushrooms)
