5.11c EXPOSITORY

TermDefinition
Cause and Effect noting a relationship between actions or events such that one or more are the result of the other or others.
Compare and Contrast pertaining to a written exercise about the similarities and differences between two or more people, places, or things
Genre of or relating to a distinctive literary type.
Graphics the titles, credits, subtitles, announcements, etc., shown in a text before, or as part of, a reading passage.
Organizational pattern provides an outline for the ideas to flow from one paragraph to the next.
overview a general outline of a subject or situation; or summary.
sequential order the arrangement of things following one after another in a certain order.
text features include all the components of a story or article that are not the main body of text.
