| dew point | the temperature where water droplets begin to condense and dew can form |
| condensation nuclei | small particles where water vapor condenses |
| adiabatic cooling | the process of decreasing heat through a change in air pressure caused by volume expansion |
| advective cooling | the transfer of a property of the atmosphere by the horizontal movement of an air mass |
| coalescence | when different elements of something join together and become one |
| supercooling | the process of cooling a liquid below its freezing point without the liquid becoming a solid |
| cloud seeding | the dropping of crystals in clouds to make it rain |
