| Latent Heat | Needed heat to make a solid into a liquid or vapor; or liquid to vapor. |
| Dew Point | Atmospheric temp. which water droplets begin to condense and dew can form. |
| Relative Humility | Amount of water vapor in the air expressed as a percentage of the amount needed for saturation at the same temperature. |
| Condensation Nuclei | small particles the size of a cloud droplet on which water vapor condenses. |
| Adiabatic Cooling | Process of reducing heat through a change in air pressure caused by volume expansion. |
| Advective Cooling | The transfer of a property of the atmosphere (heat, cold, or humidity) by the horizontal movement of air mass. |
| Coalescence | When two different elements of something come together to make one. |
| Supercooling | A liquid below its freezing point without solidification or crystallization. |
| Cloud Seeding | Cloud seeding is a form of weather modification, a way of changing the amount or type of precipitation that falls from clouds. |
