What is matter? Everything that occupies space
Mass of an object is a measure of how much matter consists of
Volume of an object is is how much space it occupies
Pure substances are formed from just one type of matter
Examples of pure substances are SALT, WATER, OXYGEN, IRON
Mixtures are formed from various components of various types of matter.
Examples of mixtures are AIR, HONEY, CREAM
The states of matter are solids - liquids - gas
Natural materials are materials that come from plants, animals and rocks
Man-made materials are materials obtained from natural materials through chemical processes.
Energy IS THE ABILITY OF MATTER TO PRODUCE CHANGES
Renewable energies are sun, wind, water, rivers
Non - Renewable energies are coal, oil, natural gas
Light energy SUN - BULB - TORCH
Electrical energy BATTERIES - GENERATORS
Thermal energy RADIATORS - FIRES
Mechanical energy WATER IN RIVERS
Energy from fuel COAL - OIL - NATURAL GAS
