Chapter 3 Lesson 2

TermDefinition
Mid-ocean ridges Mountain ranges that run along the bottom of the ocean floor.
Sea-floor spreading The process in which mid-ocean ridges continue in adding new material to the ocean floor
Deep-ocean trenches Are deep underwater canyons.
Subduction The process in which the ocean floor sinks into a deep-ocean trench and back into the mantle.
