What gas is needed for photosynthesis carbon dioxide
What liquid is needed for photosynthesis water
Name the green dye needed for photosynthesis chlorophyll
What source of energy is needed for photosynthesis light
What are the sources of carbon dioxide? Burning fossil fuels, respiration
What other product is made? Oxygen
Can you write down the equation for photosynthesis? yes ;-) or no :-(
What is glucose used for? 1. to provide energy for respiration 2. to form starch 3. to form cellulose
What happens to the oxygen? It leaves the plant and enters the atmosphere and some is used for respiration in the leaf.
What is a tropism? A change in growth in response to an outside stimulus
What is phototropism? Phototropism is the way in which a plant changes it's growth in response to light
How would you show it? shoe box, 3 sections, petri dishes, cotton wool, seeds.
What is geotropism? The way in which a plant changes it's growth in response to gravity
How could you demonstrate this? beaker, seeds, filter paper, compost.
