Metamorphic Rocks

What can change any rock into metamorphic rock? Heat and pressure
How are metamorphic rocks classified? The grain of the rock
What is a foliated rock? Metamorphic rocks that have their grains arranged in parallel liyers or bands are said to be foliated.

What is a non foliated rock? The mineral grains of these rocks are arranged differently.
Example of a non foliated Quartzite
What characteristics of marble make it useful? It is smooth and durable does not weather fast.
What characteristics of slate make it useful? smooth and layered
