These are vocanulary words that are important to the 5th grade students I am tea

TermDefinition
Noun a part of speech that names a person, place, or thing
Adjective modifies or describes a pronoun or noun
Adverb modifies or describes a verb, an adjective, or another adverb
Pronoun a word used in place of a noun
Preposition a word placed before a noun or pronoun to form a phrase modifying another word in the sentence.
Verb expresses action or being
Conjunction joins words, phrases, or clauses
Interjection a word used to express emotion
Punctuation the practice or system of using certain conventional marks or characters in writing or printing in order to separate elements and make the meaning clear, as in ending a sentence or separating clauses.
Subject that which forms a basic matter of thought, discussion, investigation, etc
