sediment small materials that come from other rocks or living things

Deposition The process which sediments settle out of the water or wind carrying it
Compaction Thick layers of rock build up gradually millions of years
Cementation The process which the rocks crystalize and glue together sediments
Clastic rock sedimentary rock that forms when sediments are squeezed together
Organic It forms when the remains of plants and animals are deposited in thick layers
Chemical When minerals are dissolved in a solution crystallize
