Protozoans microscopic organism that is a member of the protist kingdom
Heterotroph an organism requiring organic compounds for its principal source of food

Flagella long, whiplike structures used for locomotion in certain protozoans

Autotroph any organism capable of self-nourishment by using inorganic materials as a source of nutrients and using photosynthesis or chemosynthesis as a source of energy
Algae plant-like protists that contain chlorophyll and carry out photosynthesis
Fungi one of the five kingdoms of organisms; organisms that cannot move from place to place, have no chlorophyll, and absorb food from their surroundings
Hyphae one of the thread like elements of the mycelium
Lichen organism that is part fungus and part alga
Slime Molds organism that looks and reproduces like a fungi, moves and eats like an amoeba
